It is not always about bringing in expensive furniture most times a good stager can work with what you have and with our free consultation before we list. On average staged homes get 4.3% more than their asking price.

Here are a few simple tips: Remember it is not “A Honey Pot” so do not overdo it.

  • Fresh flowers or flowering plants placed in a couple of rooms, such as the kitchen and living room, can have a dramatic impact on how inviting that room looks. Just don’t overdo it.
  • Make sure office desks, countertops, coffee tables and ottomans, etc. are totally clutter free. Give the impression in all rooms that there’s lots of space available on horizontal surfaces.
  • Colors that clash may work for you, but not everyone will share your daring sense of style. Always stick to neutral colours.
  • Be honest about the amount of furniture you have in each room. If you can take out pieces and put them in storage, less is more. Light , space and condition perception are huge things when selling your home.
  • In a buyer’s market they have more choice, so you need to bring your “A” game and compete. Sometimes we advise our clients to let us show them the competition in their area. It also gives them the competitive edge!
  • Staging is adding effective amenities, the house becomes more valuable than it’s comparables in that price range and it gets moved into a higher price bracket , where it becomes the lowest priced in that price range! Makes sense?
