You would think there is a huge difference between broadcasting on a National Radio Station and Real Estate Marketing, but there is one very common link to both, “Communication”.
Before immigrating to Canada with his family Stewart J Lowe presented a Breakfast Show on UK National Radio for over 18 years, incorporating the position of Program Controller. “The early mornings were a way of life, but I particularly enjoyed getting involved in community issues. I was a very active fund raiser with the Lions Club and helping the community. It was always my goal to live in this great country, when I finally arrived here with my family it was obvious that to get the same satisfaction of helping and communicating with people, real estate would be a perfect fit.”
Stewart works as a licensed Realtor out of the Number One RE/MAX office in the world for six years in a row (based on closed transactions)--RE/MAX Real Estate Central. “Having the resources and backup of not only Central but the whole of RE/MAX Worldwide gives you a great edge on other real estate professionals”.
Today 70% of his business comes from referrals from past clients and business associates. “I enjoy working very closely with each client. I do not get involved in conveyor belt real estate as I call it, like some of the bigger agents. It is important for me to enjoy my work and involvement working on a one-to-one with clients, giving them the best I can in terms of total commitment and communication.”
His reputation is one of being friendly and easy to work with. “For me the goal is to make the best investments for the clients, and the whole process as stress free as possible. You can only do this with good communication and the ability to keep the clients informed along the whole process of buying or selling a property. Trust has to be earned--I like to work as a team, with myself as the coach”.
Last year Stewart was given the RE/MAX Western Canada 100% Award, based on sales and service. Today he heads up CalgaryDreamHomes.com and continues to work on a one-to-one with all his clients. “I do miss my radio work but meeting and working with great people makes up for it”.
